About Us

The Queen’s Garden opened in the Spring of 2005 in Norwell, Ma.  A little over a year later as the business grew, the opportunity to move the store 5 miles up the road in South Weymouth came about.  We tripled in size over 2 buildings on the property which was previously home to 2 other furniture stores spanning the last 40 years.  Although we miss our Norwell roots, Weymouth has proved more spacious and most importantly, more convenient for our customers from Boston to Cape Cod.

Owner Peter Murphy previously held a corporate position as a District Manager for a chain of furniture stores throughout New England and gained years of experience in the furniture industry prior to opening The Queen’s Garden.  As this corporate chapter was coming to a close, it was imagined what it would be like to leave the corporate side of the business and get back to the roots – helping customers at the store level.  The dream was to first dive into consignment furniture. We would go to auctions, estate sales and searched endlessly for unique antiques and quality consignments. This vision quickly evolved.  Our Champagne taste got the best of us and we started heading to furniture and home trade shows looking for a better and more designer product as well as great gift items for our customers.  Quickly after this new look to our product line was introduced, we had numerous requests for interior decorating.  So here we are coming up on 20 years in business as the undisputed leader in eclectic home furnishings and accents on Boston’s South Shore!  After years of retail and decorating 100’s of homes, we dove head first in Home Staging for real estate sales and outdoor events as well.  Click on our home staging tab for more details.  We’re happy to help you achieve the home decor you’ve always dreamed of!  Give us a call or come by the store today.
